Learn more about who we are
The Charismatic part means that we are a church that believes in the current day moving and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Our times of praise are a blending of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. Some may raise their hands as they worship and others may not. Someone may share a Scripture they feel God is laying on their heart or a word of encouragement. Simply put we believe in having freedom of expression in our worship, and as long as a person is not distracting others or drawing attention to themselves we believe that God will be pleased.
The Reformed Tradition part means that we place a great emphasis on the teaching of God’s Word and that we embrace the 5 Solas of the Protestant Reformation. We believe that salvation is…
• by Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura)
• by Christ Alone (Sola Christus)
• by Grace Alone (Sola Gratia)
• through Faith Alone (Sola Fide)
• all to the Glory of God Alone! (Soli Deo Gloria)
At Redeemer Church, we are very much concerned with the issue of “doctrinal correctness”. It is our belief that bad doctrine and a flippant attitude towards theology are at the heart of most of what troubles today’s church. It is also our belief that only the Truth can free the human heart from the corruption of sin and enable us to truly be the people God desires. In this section then you will find an outline of those things that we hold to be essential.
We believe the Bible teaches that every member has a “gifting” from God that he or she can use to His Glory and we are excited that you have expressed an interest in finding and using your gifts at Redeemer.
Here are some general requirements for anyone desiring to serve.
